Gujarat assembly elections 2017 that started on Saturday, 9 December and ends on Monday, 18 December began sending chills down the spine of Prime Minister NaMo. Narendra Modi’s accused of Dr. Manmohan Singh and some Pakistani top-notch delegates over a dinner discussing as to how BJP can be dethroned from Gujarat, the place a bastion of BJP for many long years. PM Narendra Modi has alleged that Pakistan is stabbing to intervene in the Gujarat elections and that Congress leaders, including Manmohan Singh, discussed the state polls with Pakistani guests at a dinner hosted by Mani Shankar Aiyar. These comments of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi were not at all expected by the people in Gujarat. Many BJP leaders were upset and directly expressed their say that such comments of a stoic politician like Modi were uncalled for.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, a man who usually mince his words to be expressive, this time never waited to escalate the situation in a war of words said,” “Fearing imminent defeat in Gujarat, the desperation of Prime Minister to hurl every abuse and latch on to every straw is palpable.

PM Modi is setting a dangerous precedent by his insatiable desire to tarnish every constitutional office.” He asked the PM to apologize to the nation.” Rahul Gandhi, the President-elect as led his party’s aggressive bid to win Gujarat after 22 years of BJP rule, censuring PM Modi and the BJP over mega economic policies notes ban and GST. The prime Minister furthered too far and said the Congress party joined their hands with the members of the enemy state who had ensured Mumbai burned for five days and 276 plus innocent folks died.

Many eminent politicians feel that the Congress Party has a social-niche` in Gujarat state and sending signals already that Gujarat will be the Congress fortress this time.

Interestingly, the initial speeches of both ruling and opposition parties were on social issues and in fracture development and uplifting the poor etc. and the latter part of the campaigning got dirty. People are painstakingly watching and listening to the messy rhetoric speeches.

Rahul Gandhi Says: Gujarat Verdict Will Be “Zabardast”

Rahul Gandhi promised a “zabardast” verdict on the last day of campaigning for the Gujarat assembly election.  Gujarat is Modi’s pride. Losing Gujarat, where the BJP has been ruling for the past 22 years, will be a dreadful defeat for Gujarat. However, the ‘the Amul Baby’ Rahul Gandhi, the boy who is still expected to walk miles before winning pointlessly censured Modi on his frequenting to temples. The strong devotional state as is known to be, this remark of Modi’s visits temples raised the eyebrows of many voters in the state and left a feeling in their minds that there was nothing wrong of Modi visiting temples for the well-being of the people.

We are going to witness an interesting saga that we have not seen for many decades in Gujarat. What’s next? Let’s wait and watch. Results will be announced for all 182 seats on December 18, along with Himachal Pradesh, which votes on November 9.
