CBSE Board Examinations 2018: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) annually organizes the class 10th and class 12th examinations in the month of March. While on Tuesday, few of the reports have claimed that the CBSE is likely to prepone the board examinations in February. In contrast to the reports, CBSE has announced that the final examinations will be held in the month of March. Preferably, the exams will be conducted in 1st week of March. The CBSE authorities planning to conduct the class 10th and 12th examinations without dragging much to 45 to 50 days. The examinations are going to be finished within shorter time period.

 “We are hoping to start the exams by March first week. Due to Holi the exam might not start from March 1 but these things are being finalised. We are trying to conduct the exam in a shorter time period to give the evaluation process more time,” a senior CBSE official said.

“The purpose is to have more time for evaluation and bring quality. The board will involve all stakeholders in the process,” the CBSE said then.

The CBSE Board has yet to schedule the 10th class and 12th class date sheet. As per the information from the sources, the examinations will be conducted in early March and the results will be released in the 4th week of May (Tentatively).

Nearly 18000 plus schools are affiliated with Central Board of Secondary Education in India. CBSE is the largest educational board in India. Hence a larger number of students are assumed to take the examinations than the previous year.

The reports affirm that 1.1 million of students have registered for class 12th exams and this year candidate’s count has raised to 1.067 million. That is the number of registrations hiked by 2.82%. Last year centers and schools registered for the Class 12 exam were 3,502 and 10,678, respectively.
